Out now | Climate-Smart Dairy Magazine
This magazine presents the highlights of the applied research project “Inclusive and climate-smart business models in Ethiopian and Kenyan dairy value chains (CSDEK)”.
The applied research program on 'climate-smart and inclusive dairy business models in Kenya and Ethiopia' (CSDEK) is coming to an end in December 2020. The research was a collective effort of Van Hall Larenstein (lead), Michigan State University, Unique, USIU and Jimma university. AgriProFocus had a support role in communication. The applied research was conducted in six milksheds, three in Ethiopia and three in Kenya.
The researchers hope that their work contributes to creating awareness of climate-smart dairy practices and sustainable development in Ethiopia and Kenya. The ambition of Van Hall Larenstein is to continue the collaboration in two milksheds by means of dairy living labs. These are dairy networks involving knowledge institutes and dairy businesses around a learning agenda to scale climate-smart and inclusive dairy development.
As Covid-19 limited our movements, AgriProFocus proposed to make a one-off magazine with interviews and insights from the master course students and the research partners involved in CSDEK. We like to thank everyone who collaborated and share the result with everyone else.
We are happy to hear your comments and questions.
