A Celebration of Harvests

Hosted by Valentin Patis and Michelle Lai, Design Academy Eindhoven

In the lead up towards 2030, we would like to pay attention to the human - and more than human faces tied to the fields.

Designers and Agri-ecological Practitioners Valentin Patis and Michelle Lai, in collaboration with Amsterdam - based food artist Maureen de Jong of kleinkookbedrijf, introduce stories from the vantage points from the fields: wine-makers in Champagne, France and the Talang Mamak indigenous community - oil palm plantation workers in Riaus, Indonesia.

Through design perspectives, we bring to the fore marginal perspective, urging immediate attention to be paid to situations unfolding on the ground, near and far from the Netherlands. We invite you to sit at the table, to listen, and share in the harvests.

On Friday 15 October 2021, Netherlands Food Partnership is hosting a unique and uplifting hybrid event for food professionals to celebrate World Food Day 2021. Hundred food professionals gather live in Pakhuis de Zwijger. From there, we will be joined virtually by food pioneers and professionals from four continents. We look forward to have you with us!
