Theme: Food and nutrition security under the impact of the climate crisis
At our World Food Day 2022 event we will focus on the impact of the climate crisis towards achieving SDG2 by 2030. The central question is: How do we need to adapt our behaviour, our production and consumption, to transition to a resilient, just and healthy food system for people and our planet? The current crises disproportionately affects the livelihoods of large groups of people in low and middle Income countries (LMICs). Therefore, our collective ambitions need to be centred on reducing the impact of the climate crisis and to adapt and transform our food systems to sustain livelihoods as well as the environment to achieve food and nutrition security for all.
The urgent need to address food and nutrition security within the context of the climate crisis is imperative and will be extensively discussed at World Food Day 2022 during an inspiring, inclusive and interactive event.
We work in close collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Clim-Eat and the Food4All coalition.
