Presentations of the webinar ”How do African entrepreneurs in agriculture use digital technology to respond to Covid-19” on July 30, are availabe as recording and downloads. This was the first webinar in a series of three focusing on “Digital opportunities in the response to COVID-19 in Asian & Africa agriculture”.
The Community of Practice Digital Solutions is set up to exchange learning across practitioners on the use of digital solutions in COVID-19 response, recovery and resilience in agriculture. The webinar series aims at communicating those learnings to a broader and interested audience, also inviting participants to sign up for the Community of Practice.
During the webinar three speakers shared their learnings on digital solutions.
Sriram Bharatam, founder of Kuza, shared how an innovative e-learning platform is able to support smallholder farmers in Kenya in response to COVID-19.
Monique Vanni, Solidaridad, shared how the organization uses its digital presence to support agriculture supply chains in Africa in times of COVID-19.
Alhassan Issahaku, innovation lead at 2SCALE, shared how digital entrepreneurs establish commercial relationships with agribusiness.
During the webinar relevant lessons from the above examples were shared and the discussion between participants and the speakers proved insightful.
