Hedwig Bruggeman

Hedwig Bruggeman is leading Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation, one of the research Institutes of Wageningen University & Research. She was trained as a tropical animal production specialist focussing on crop livestock interactions. Hedwig’s drive and focus is on capacity building and connecting competencies of professionals across the borders of their own organisations in order to assure maximum impact on sustainable development goals.

Hedwig gained over 30 years of international experience – as a technical advisor, programme lead and director- through several long term assignments in Africa. She has worked in many different environments ranging from CSO’s, governments, network organisations and research institutions. Hedwig’s drive and focus is on capacity building and connecting competencies of professionals across the borders of their own organisations in order to assure maximum impact on sustainable development goals.
