Request for Proposals (RFP)

According to the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the agrifood sector accounts for nearly 70% of total available freshwater withdrawal. At the same time, agriculture is a major source of water pollution. The Netherlands is a global leader in both agriculture and water management. Yet, despite significant efforts, there are still too few concrete success stories that demonstrate the business case in an integrated approach to water for food. The Water for Food Programme, an initiative by Netherlands Water Partnership supported by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, is aiming to address this issue through the launch of a call for proposals to highlight business cases, as outlined above.
