Second Dutch Stakeholder preparation meeting Food Systems Summit
Netherlands Food Partnership hosted a second preparatory information and exchange meeting on 29 March, with 74 participants from Dutch organisations, institutions and companies active in the area of Food & Nutrition Security in low- and middle-income countries. In the meeting, they shared information about their preparations for the Food Systems Summit and provided feedback to the current list of game changing ideas developed in the UN Food Systems Summit Action Tracks.
Paul van de Logt (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) provided an update on the current process at UN level. The collaborating partners in the five UN FSS Action Tracks recently delivered synthesis reports of the first set of ideas (‘wave 1’) to the UN secretariat. These reports were also shared in preparation for this meeting.
In five online breakout sessions, Dutch organisations, institutions and companies shared their feedback on the synthesis reports with Game Changing Ideas. For each Action Track, a group listed their general comments, what is missing, and opportunities for a contribution of expertise. Feedback to the Game Changing Ideas are shared with the Dutch Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.
The meeting report provides the highlights and links to detailed feedback of the ‘post-it’ sessions. Please follow this link to the report of the meeting, including the links to relevant references and contacts.
