Last Dutch Stakeholder preparation meeting in run up to the Pre-Summit | 5 July 2021

This meeting with the Dutch network builds on the three earlier information and networking meetings which were held in the course of the past few months, as well as on the outcomes of the Dutch National Food Dialogue. The meeting is the last general networking meeting in the run-up to the UN FSS Pre-Summit on 26-28 July 2021.

Global Access to Nutrition Index 2021 Calls for Food Industry to Urgently Address Nutrition Gap in the COVID-19 Era

Access to Nutrition Initiative (ATNI) has launched its 2021 Global Index, assessing the world’s 25 largest global food and beverage manufacturers and their contributions to addressing malnutrition. While some companies have shown significant progress since its last iteration in 2018, progress from the top 10 ranking manufacturers has slowed. ATNI is urgently calling on companies to step up efforts to tackle some of the world’s toughest nutrition challenges.

Dutch stakeholders continue preparation for UNFSS 2021 | 11 May 2021

Participants from Dutch organisations, institutions and companies active in the area of Food & Nutrition Security in low- and middle-income countries took part in the third preparatory information meeting, to shape and explore the Dutch contribution to the upcoming UN Food Systems Summit in September.

Last Food & Business Research projects nearing completion

In 2021 the last Food & Business Research projects financed through Global Challenges Programme and Applied Research Fund are being finalised. From 2014 until 2021 WOTRO, the Science for Global Development department of NWO (the Dutch Research Council) managed the Food & Business Research funding aimed at addressing persistent food security challenges in low and middle income countries. It consisted of two Programmes: the Global Challenges Programme and the Applied Research Fund.
